Wed 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Topic: Start-up Assistance

Businesses that fail to plan, plan to fail. Most business problems arise from not planning ahead. Your business plan, provides you a method to take a look inward at yourself and your business, find the STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES, and THREATS, (SWOT), and be able to assess, analyze, and correct the direction of your business BEFORE it becomes a critical threat to your success.

Starting at 5:30, a representative of the St. Petersburg Library System will discuss free access to premium business databases for industry, market and demographic information critical to your business plan. Following this, a presentation that covers the importance of a business plan, what kind you need and its major elements will be given by a Florida Small Business Development Center representative. After the workshop, you will be able to start writing a business plan and make an appointment with a business counselor to guide you through the process. Speakers: -Zach Heath, St. Petersburg Public Libraries -Wayne Brass, Pinellas SBDC
