Fri 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Nonprofit organizations are addressing the world's greatest social, environmental and economic challenges. In Pinellas County, the number one capacity-related concern for nonprofits, outside of funding, is organizational relationship and networks, according to a 2018 study conducted by the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg. Nonprofit Connect will be a monthly event designed to connect nonprofit organizations in the St. Petersburg community while driving innovation and sustainability through collaborative content sessions. This month, our facilitator, Merle Benny of Nonprofit Champion will lead an interactive workshop, "Pitch to Win: How to Inspire Giving" Description: Get in the game! Opportunities to pitch your organization are popping up everywhere. Whether you have an audience of one or a room crowded with potential donors, you need to be ready to inspire advocates and donors. You’ll learn and practice in this highly interactive workshop. The purpose of the Nonprofit Connect: 1. Give nonprofit leaders a place to gather and learn. Provide topics for discussion as well as the opportunity for informal networking. 2. Encourage the inclusion of nonprofit organizations in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of St Petersburg. 3. Strengthen the nonprofit community by encouraging collaboration between organizations and with the government and for-profit sectors.
