Commercial bonds are agreements that protect businesses. They're generally required by state laws for various industries, and guarantee some aspect of a principal's occupation. This workshop includes a discussion of the function, types and cost of surety bonds; and how to obtain them.

Examples of industries that require bonds: Construction Contractor License, Project, or Permit Bonds. Freight or Transportation Bonds. Mortgage, Finance, Insurance, or Tax License Bonds.

This is a required workshop for certification as a City of St. Petersburg Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in the “construction” category. All are welcome to attend.
